Install Crush Job

It's a small file. Running it opens a branded window that fetches the full Crush Job app and installs it — still only for you on this PC, so Windows won't stop to ask for an administrator password.
If Windows shows a blue warning, that's expected
CrushJobInstaller.exe is digitally signed, but it's still a new file Windows hasn't seen enough people run yet, so you may see a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click "More info", then "Run anyway", and the install carries on.
Crush Job downloads and opens on its own
CrushJobInstaller.exe fetches the full app, installs it, and opens it for you. Crush Job adds itself to the Start menu and your desktop, and keeps itself up to date automatically from then on.
From open to your first tailored application

The Hub greets you with a short welcome screen. It asks you to pick the folder that holds your resume, and to link this device to your Crush Job account (required — it's what lets the app do any AI work). No keys to paste. One-time only.
Create your profile
Click "New Person", type your name, choose where your documents live. A profile is simply you — everything lands in your own folder.
Launch Rezi Ninja
Click "Launch" on the Rezi Ninja card.
Confirm your master resume
Since you already picked your resume folder, Rezi Ninja just asks which file is your current resume. That becomes your master resume — the trusted original every tailored version is built from.
Bring in a job posting
Paste the job description, or paste its web link and let Rezi Ninja fetch it. Click "Analyze →" and meet your Dicer JD Score — how well your resume already speaks this job's language.
Answer the gap questions
A few friendly questions about things the job wants that your resume doesn't mention yet. It only ever uses your real answers and never invents anything about you.
Generate your application
Click "Generate Application". You get a tailored resume, a matching cover letter, and a fresh tracker entry, saved into your Applications folder.

The Hub: Your Mission Control
The Hub is the first thing you see and the place you'll always come back to. It knows who you are, holds the link to your account, launches every part of the suite, and quietly keeps the whole app up to date.

Good to knowThe Active Person selector
At the top sits Active Person — the person Crush Job is currently working for. Open the dropdown to switch between people. When you switch, every open app follows along instantly, so you're never working on the wrong resume by accident.
New Person & Remove Person
Click "New Person" to add someone — just a name and a folder. To remove someone, pick "Remove Person" from the Active Person dropdown. Removing a person never touches their documents — it removes the entry from Crush Job only; every resume, letter, and interview note stays safe in their folder.
Detect From Folder
Already have a Crush Job folder from another PC? When adding a person, click "Detect From Folder" and point it there. Crush Job reads it in and picks up right where you left off, tracker and all.
Module cards: Launch, then Open
Each app has a card with a Launch button. Once an app is running, its button reflects that it's open — one click brings the window back to the front instead of starting a second copy.
Finding your files
The quickest way to your documents is the "Open Folder" button on the person's card in Rezi Ninja, or the folder you chose during setup. The account/settings icon lives as a plainly-labelled "Account" button in the header.
Link this device to your account
Task guideThere is nothing to set up and no keys to paste. Crush Job runs every piece of AI work — resume tailoring, live captions, your mock interviewer's voice — on its own service, paid for by your Crush Job account. Linking this PC to that account is the only step, and you do it once.
Link on first run
The welcome screen asks you to link this device to your crushjob.ai account. Required to finish setup.
Or link later, from Account & Usage
In the Hub's top bar, click "Account" to open Account & Usage, then the Account tab. It shows whether this device is linked and lets you link it.
That's the whole setup
Every app can now do its work; you won't be asked again on this PC. If you ever see "Link this device to Crush Job to continue", the link was removed — open the Account tab and link again.
Crush Job keeps itself up to date
Good to knowYou'll never have to hunt for a download or reinstall — new versions arrive on their own, quietly, while you work. You can also just ask.
Updates arrive quietly in the background
The Hub downloads a new version for you in the background. Nothing interrupts what you're doing.
Downloaded updates are applied, not just offered
Once a new version finishes downloading, Crush Job asks you to restart into it and means it — restarting takes a couple of seconds and nothing you've saved is affected. If you genuinely can't restart that second, close Crush Job and reopen it later — it comes back on the new version.
A "Check for Updates" button
In the Hub's top bar, next to the version number. Click it any time to know where you stand.
It always tells you the answer, including "that didn't work"
A line of text next to the button says "Checking for updates…", "Downloading update…", "Version X.X.X downloaded" when ready to restart into, or "Up to date (vX.X.X)". If the check itself fails, it says "Update check failed" and points you at an update.log file in your data folder.
What your plan includes
Good to knowThe app checks your plan before opening a module, so what you see matches what you're paying for.
Locked modules look locked
If a module isn't part of your plan, its card says so up front rather than opening and then refusing.
A used-up free trial is an offer, not a refusal
When a free trial runs out, Crush Job says the trial is finished and shows you the upgrade.
Out of credit?
The button takes you straight to Credit Packs.
Each count says what it is counting
The Account tab lists one line per thing your plan includes (tailored resumes, cover letters, battle cards, scored mocks) with how many are left this month and the renewal date. The note under each paid button says the same thing in the module's own words, in green: "3 Rezi Ninja Dices Remain", "1 Battlecard Remains", "5 Mock Interviews Remain". Green means your plan is paying; grey means credits.
You can see the count before you need it
In Interview Killer the count is visible as soon as you open the module, not just after picking an application.
Two tools come with a paid plan at no extra charge
The ATS Ninja Dicer (the "Dice It!" button) and LinkedIn Studio are included with any paid plan and cost nothing to use. They're the two tools not included on the free plan.
Just upgraded? Tell the app
Click "Account" → "Account" tab → "Refresh Plan". Everything unlocks straight away — no restart.
Choose Word or PDF
Task guideCrush Job asks you once which format you want your documents in, then writes every one of them that way — your tailored resume, your cover letter, the saved job posting, and your battle card.

Hub → "Account" button → "Preferences" tab.
Pick your format
Under "Document format", choose "Word Doc (.docx)" or "PDF (.pdf)". Saved instantly, no Save button, no need to set it again.

Rezi Ninja and Interview Killer both read this one setting. Rezi Ninja's review screen also has the same picker next to Generate, for switching just for the run in front of you.
Export your job tracker
Task guideThe Hub keeps every application you've made in one browsable Job Tracker. When you want a copy — to keep, share, or open elsewhere — you choose the format: Excel, CSV, PDF, or a web page.
Open the Job Tracker from the Hub
Click "Job Tracker". Your applications open in their own window, already up to date.
Click Export
A save window titled "Export Job Tracker" opens, with your file already named for you.
Choose the format
Open "Save as type" and pick Excel workbook, CSV, PDF, or Web page. CSV opens in Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, and just about anything else.

The next export opens on the format you picked last time.
Rezi Ninja: Your Resume, Tailored
Rezi Ninja takes one trusted master resume and, for every job you chase, reshapes it to fit — then checks it against the software that screens resumes before any human sees them.
Set your master resume
Task guideYour master resume is the trusted original. Set it once, update it whenever your career moves.
Run the Resume Setup wizard
Appears automatically on first launch; since you already picked your resume folder, it just asks which file is your current resume.

Update it later, any time
Open "Settings" → run "Resume Setup" again to refresh your master. Everything you tailor from then on reflects the update.

On Rezi Ninja's main screen, the "ATS Optimization" card shows your Ninja Score gauge and a checklist of the 11 things resume-screening software looks for. Green checks are points you've earned; unmet ones are points on the table. On a paid plan the card carries a green "FREE" badge.
Click Dice It! to win the points back
Crush Job proposes the exact changes that reclaim your missed points. You review and choose which to apply — nothing changes without your say-so. Works on your master resume alone, no job posting needed.
LinkedIn Studio
A five-step workspace: Import your profile (LinkedIn's own data export, a "Save to PDF", or the resume already on file), then Optimize it with word-by-word accept/reject rewrites for your headline, About section, experience and skills. Apply is a guided checklist that opens LinkedIn at the right spot for each change — no app can edit your LinkedIn profile directly, so this walks you through pasting each one in yourself. Share posts a "just refreshed my profile" update, and Report gives you a before/after summary of what changed.
Your original is always safe
Dicing never overwrites your resume. The untouched original sits in the "Original Resume" folder, improvements go into a separate "Optimized" copy, and a log records every change made.

If the grading can't run, you keep half your score
The delivery half is measured on your own PC and needs no AI. If the content can't be graded (out of credits, connection drops), you still get your delivery score, and the results screen names the actual reason under "Delivery-only score" so you know whether it's fixable.

Debriefing an older transcript
You can come back days later and debrief a transcript from an earlier interview; since there's no live session behind it, that's its own small charge (2 credits — the price of one Copilot minute). Crush Job asks first and shows the price, so nothing is ever charged by surprise. The debrief of the session you just finished stays free, however long you take to click the button.

Crush Job doesn't hide your work inside itself. Everything it makes is a normal file in a normal folder on your PC — organized, named clearly, and completely yours.

One setting covers everything
Your resume, cover letter, saved posting, and battle card all follow the same choice (see Choose Word or PDF).
Which should I choose?
Plenty of job-application sites still ask for a Word file, which is why Word Doc is the default. PDF is the better pick for sending to a person or attaching to an email — it looks the same everywhere and can't be edited by accident. Switch any time; already-saved documents are never touched.
Your battle card, on your phone
Set PDF and your battle card opens on your laptop, tablet, or phone with nothing to install.

The Job Tracker exports as Excel, CSV, PDF, or web page.
Know What You're Spending
Your plan includes a set number of each thing every month. Those come first and cost you nothing. Once a month's allowance is used up, the same action is paid for with credits — and either way you can see what it will take before you press the button.
How the meter works

And it says what it is counting — under every paid button you'll see the thing itself, counted, in green: "3 Rezi Ninja Dices Remain", "1 Battlecard Remains", "5 Mock Interviews Remain", "2 Copilot Sessions Remain — up to 70 minutes each". Green means it comes out of your monthly allowance at no cost. The count refreshes the moment the action finishes. (If you're signed in on more than one PC, treat the number shown as the fewest you have left — it's never lower than shown, occasionally a little behind.)
Then credits, at 20 to the dollar
Once the allowance is gone, the note turns grey and says "This uses 10 credits" instead. One credit is five cents — 20 credits to the dollar, so a $10 Credit Pack is 200 credits.
One action, one price
You're charged for the thing you asked for, not the steps underneath it. A run that happens to need more AI work behind the scenes never costs you more.
What each thing costs in credits
Tailoring your resume to a posting: 10 credits for the whole run. A cover letter: 5. An Interview Killer battle card: 6. A scored Mock It! interview: 30, spoken parts included. Interview Copilot: 2 credits a minute while actually listening. A debrief on its own: 2, same as one Copilot minute (a debrief of a session you just ran is already covered by that session). Free on every plan: checking your Ninja Score, and analyzing a job posting. Free on any paid plan: Dice It! and LinkedIn Studio.
Where your balance lives
Hub → "Account" button → "Account" tab. Shows your credit balance, then one line for each thing your plan includes, with how many are left and the renewal date. If you run out part-way through something, Crush Job says so plainly and points you at "Credit Packs" — it never fails silently.

The app shows your current balance; your itemized history (every action, every Credit Pack, on its own line) lives on your account at crushjob.ai, reached via the "Manage Account" button on the Account tab.

Is Crush Job safe? Why does Windows warn me?
It's safe. CrushJobInstaller.exe is digitally signed, but it's still a new file Windows hasn't seen enough people run yet, so it may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click "More info", then "Run anyway" to continue. It installs only for you, no administrator password.
Do I need to reinstall to get updates?
No. Crush Job keeps itself up to date automatically. When a new version is ready, the Hub downloads it quietly in the background and prompts you to restart into it. If you'd rather check yourself, click "Check for Updates" in the Hub's top bar — it always tells you what it found, including "Up to date" and including when the check itself failed.
I already have the old version — how do I upgrade?
You don't have to do anything — Crush Job updates itself automatically, and you can force a check any time with "Check for Updates" in the Hub's top bar. If you'd rather reinstall by hand, just run CrushJobInstaller.exe straight over your existing copy — there's no need to uninstall first, and all your info, profiles, and saved keys stay untouched. Only use "Apps & features" if you want to remove Crush Job from the PC entirely.
My antivirus flagged CrushJobInstaller.exe — is that a problem?
No. CrushJobInstaller.exe is digitally signed, but it's still a brand-new file, so some antivirus tools are cautious with it on general principle until it has more of a track record — not because anything is wrong. It only ever fetches and installs Crush Job. You can allow it and continue, or skip the small file and grab the full offline installer straight from GitHub instead (github.com/crushjob/crushjob-releases/releases/latest). Either way, it's the real Crush Job.
I don't have Microsoft Word or Excel — can I still use Crush Job?
Yes, completely. Set your documents to PDF (Hub → Account → Preferences → Document format) and everything Crush Job makes opens on any computer. The Job Tracker also exports as a CSV, a PDF, or a web page, not just Excel. Note: plenty of job-application sites still ask specifically for a Word file, which is why Word Doc is the default — you can change the setting back any time, and documents you've already saved are never altered.
Why doesn't my resume PDF look like my resume?
Because Crush Job lays that PDF out itself rather than photographing your Word file — a clean, single-column version of the same content, not a copy of your design. That's deliberate: it's what resume-screening software reads most reliably. Prefer your own design? Switch the setting to Word Doc.
What is a battle card, and how do I make one?

Do I have to answer the strengthen questions in Interview Killer?
No — they're optional. Your battle card is complete the moment you generate it. "Strengthen Answers" just sharpens it further; skip it and save as-is any time.
What's the difference between Mock It! and Interview Copilot?
Mock It! is for practice before the interview — an AI interviewer asks you questions out loud, you answer out loud, and you get a score out of 100 with tips. Interview Copilot is for the real interview — it listens along quietly and offers talking points while you're actually on the call. Rehearse with Mock It!, then let Copilot ride shotgun on the day.
What does a Mock It! practice interview cost?
One scored mock from your plan's monthly allowance, or 30 credits once that's used up. Same price however long the interview runs and whichever voice you pick.
Why can't I use Dice It! or LinkedIn Studio on the free plan?
Those two tools are included with any paid plan and cost nothing extra to use — they're the two tools not part of the free plan. Everything else about the free plan is unchanged: your Ninja Score still works at no cost on every plan, and tailoring your resume to a job posting works exactly the same. Just upgraded? Open the Hub's Account tab and choose "Refresh Plan".
Can I have more than one profile?
Yes. Add as many people as you like with "New Person", and switch between them any time from the Active Person dropdown in the Hub. Every open app follows the switch instantly, so each person's documents stay neatly separate.
What if a job site won't let me fetch the posting?
Some sites hide postings behind logins or scripts and block fetching. Just copy the posting text and paste it into the box instead — that works every time.
Is my resume sent anywhere?
Your documents stay in your own folders on your PC. To tailor a resume, the text of your resume and the job posting is sent to Crush Job's AI service for that one request and comes straight back as your tailored document — it is not kept or used to train anything. Everything Crush Job makes lands in Documents\Crush Job\<Your Name>.
What are crash reports, and what do they send?
If something in Crush Job ever crashes, it can send an anonymous note so it can be fixed — only the kind of error, where it happened, and which version you're on. Never your resumes, prompts, interview answers, or anything you've typed. A "Crash Reports" switch in the Hub's Account tab is on by default and can be turned off any time.
What if my tracker is open in Excel?
Excel locks the file while open, so Rezi Ninja can't add your new row — it pauses and offers "Retry". Close the tracker in Excel and click Retry.
How do I update my master resume?
In Rezi Ninja, open "Settings" and run "Resume Setup" again. Point it at your updated resume and it becomes your new master. Your originals are always preserved in "Original Resume".
Does removing a person delete their files?
Never. "Remove Person" only removes the entry from Crush Job. Every resume, letter, and interview note stays exactly where it is in that person's folder.
